Game of the Year Awards 2010 - Worst RPG

The reason people vote for these things are usually biggest let down rather than actually the worst. Remember people don't play every game either, if you played Mass Effect 2, and say Dragon age(though was that not a 2009 game?, can't remember now) someone would think in terms of RPG Mass effect 2 is far worse.
ME2 without ME1 is a great game, vs ME1 is crap, the main story is almost non existant, the reason for gathering the people you gather makes no sense, you finally get to an "epic story" at the end but the actual level/area is pretty bland/repetitive and not particularly fun to play. The character interaction is basically , like enough to bang and survive, or don't bang, and they'll find a way to die.
Its not brain surgery, and compared to the utterly epic nature of ME1, and while just as basic, the much larger feel of growth in power throughout the game, as an RGP ME2 rather sucks.
Anyway, Gothica sucked major balls, ME2 was a huge step down from ME1, yet still one of the best games of the year, New Vegas is a massive step down from FO3, yet still half decent.
Because sequels invariably attract hate from people who think the game isn't as good as the original. The better a game is, the more likely the sequel will be criticised.
Deus Ex: The Invisible War is a case in point. Judged on merit, a very good game IMO. But compared to Deus Ex, everything is going to look bad.
