Probably old news but I just noticed that Cyanide Studios are developing a Game of Thrones game...

Hmm, I think it might be a bit boring tbh, what differentiates the armies exactly? (other than the wildlings I suppose)

Yeah I have, the armies are all fairly indistinguishable other than the wildlings though, just not sure how it would work.

From what I've gathered on the website it's just different stats and different special units with a brief overview of the history and their respective leader.

About it really, so now I'm not sure if that is interesting enough, I don't even know what type of game it is just yet.

Edit - A strategy game akin to the total war series it seems.

I think the game is still in its infancy but if you have read the books then you should know all the different factions and alliances formed throughout the various ages of Westeros since Aegon the Conqueror. There were lots of different battles and campaigns. Im guessing you get a chance to play your part in these and form your own alliances.

Im hoping it not a flop though... I love the books and currently loving the tv series

I've been quite impressed by the TV series - as book adaptations go it's pretty decent. I guess that's the effect of the author spending months making sure they do it right rather than finishing the latest book

I can't imagine a game of it working that well personally but I'd be happy to be wrong.

Not a single person on my steam list has bought this. I think everyone is too nervous to fork out the cash!

I cant say I blame them, I am always very wary of titles which appear to have been rushed along to ride the coattails of a TV show/Film which is currently doing well. Especially when its by a dev studio with a less than great development history. Always smacks of a leap onto the proverbial wagon of musicians for my liking.
