I noticed that this can now be purchased on Steam. I love the TV series and the books.

I really wanted this to be good, but my expectations when I first heard about it were never high. Games that come from a TV Series never really seem to do well.

All of the reviews favour it poor, but I'm wondering has anyone here actually played it, and what is your opinion?

Cheers

it doesnt folow characters from the series , phrases are even altered..

"the night is dark and full of terrors" is changed to
"the night is dark and full of horrors"

the fire god doesnt even have the same name as the books....

its all completely made up in a game of thrones setting because the guy who writes the book wouldnt let them mess up his IP

Is it a load of **** then?

WHen i saw the teaser vid. My hopes went from low to nil. back to reading the books. mid way though number 4 atm. freekin AWESOME. Unfortunately season 2 has began to drift from the books. 1 was spot on. But 2 has began to drift ever so slightly. I hope that doesnt continue.

I watched the video review on IGN. They reckon it's quite glitchy and boring for a while but then it sparks into life - people aren't going to play through 10 hours of boring play to get to the good stuff though.

We talking about the recently released RPG? I thought George R R Martin was actually involved in writing the story for it? Maybe I'm wrong.
