Been having a look recently for a decent Gaming Controller for OSX without much joy, can anyone recommend something decent, I'd guess something bluetooth would be ideal if it exists.

It's with a view to playing the Marathon (Bungie) series with it.

Whilst it's possible, I was just hoping for something that is a bit more supported on OSX rather than something that runs off old third party drivers etc.

Ahh ok, I don't know what sort of hassle is involved in getting it working but surely there isn't a better controller.

I'd also recommend the PS3 controller, once it's linked up via BT it seems to work fairly well. Sadly most games that support controllers tend to assume you're going to be using a 360 controller, so the layouts aren't always spot on straight out of the box.

No hassle at all! Download 360 pad drivers, install, plug and then play your games.

Super easy, and there's a script to add support for 65 extra 3rd party controllers.

I use a wired proper MS 360 pad without issues.

Nice, thanks guys. Will try the PS3 pad again and if that fails ill get myself a wired 360. Will update when I'm done.

*Can't get the PS3 controller working on OSX 10.8.5 as per this guide: http://www.mactrast.com/2013/01/how-to-use-a-playstation-3-controller-with-your-mac/

** Further fiddling and I'm getting somewhere, managed to get the PS3 controller recognised via Bluetooth and mapped some keys etc using Gamepad Companion. All working on Marathon 2! :D
