I've unearthed my old Sidewinder joystick which I enjoyed using back in the day, I've got an old Audigy sound card with a game port but only the sound card drivers are installed, this I understand is due to Microsoft discontinuing game port support after XP - the game port driver was integral with XP but is not part of Win 7 - as most joysticks these days are USB.
My sidewinder has a game port to USB adapter but unfortunately it no longer works (broken wire I'm assuming, it works if you hold the cable firmly into the plug) I've done a bit of Googling and it seems modified drivers do exist out there, just wondered if anybody here has had any success with such modded drivers and if so, could point me in their direction.
As I say, they need to be X64 compatible, from what I've seen browsing, modded 32bit ones won't work.
Thanks.
