Hi,

Do any modern cards still come with the old style "game port" connector that joysticks used to use ? I think it was referred to as a MIDI port as well.

I'm particularly looking at the X-FI range and on the picture I've seen of one it has a similar connector but it has 3 rows of pins instead of 2.

I wouldn't mind an X-Fi but if it doesn't have this connector I'll probably stick with my ageing Audigy 1.

Thanks

Thanks - I actually want it for my old MS force feedback joystick for flight sims. I'm loath to replace it as there's nothing wrong with it.

My Audigy1 has it on a separate PCI plate too.

I did read about USB to game port adaptors but nothing very poistive. For example, they disable the force feedback.

I think I'll stick with my Audigy card for now. There's nothing wrong with it and I'm not worried about the sound quality.
