Hello, i thought this would be the best place to ask, as i did get all my new PC components here, my problem is whenever i play games such as BF2142,BF2, Company Of Heroes, the games seem to freeze and then about 10 secs after my screen would go black and come up with a "No Signal" error, and i would have to restart my pc, but these past couple of days on BF2142 the screen would say the error message would come back on only to a black screen, but i could hear myself move e.g. fire e.t.c but could not see anything, this mainly occurs in BF2142 and BF2... ive done numerous things e.g. Clear the Cache, reinstall even Wiped my HHD clean and load everything back on.. but seem to no Avail. Also sometimes i would be just browsing on the internet and the pc would just shut down and restart.. ive updated GFX Drivers, Sound Drivers, Chipset, Bios Please Could you help me.... My pc specs are as below...

Intel C2D E6600 2.4 GHz
Asus P5B Deluxe
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz DDR2
HIS ATI X1950PRO ICEQ 3 TURBO
Western Digital 320GB HDD Sata 2
Acer 19" TFT 5ms
Creative Sound Blaster X-Treme Gamer X-Fi Fatal1ty
Hiper HPU-4B580 Type R 580W Modular
Antec 900 Ultimate Gaming Case
Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard
Logitech G7 Gaming Mouse

sounds like a virus..

either that or EA's powers of buggery have now reached beyond their own games into the very innards of pc systems worldwide....tremble world tremble..

Faulty PSU? Could be the graphics card not drawing enough power and producing a balck screen and explains the random shutdowns.

do a memtest on it though to check the main system ram.

Sounds like it could be a few different things, the random restarts could be PSU and RAM related, try running with a single stick of ram and test each stick individually. The no signal error sounds like it could be a problem with your gfx card.

Well ive just tested the RAM using MemTest, and passed with no errors so that rules ou the RAM, only other things are GFX and PSU, i think its the GFX, but i don't want to have to buy one and find out its not, either way, im not waiting a month for the RMA so either way ive got to buy either a new GFX OR PSU...?

What resolution are you trying to run the BF games in?

Delete the battlefield folsders created in "my documents" and try again

My temps in game are around 40-60 tops, thats using Everest Ultimate, on my LCD on G15, my resolution is custom, i use the target line 1280*1024

think its your gfx card.

Also ya sig is way too big, edit it before a admin sees it and read the faq about sig rules... in short: max 4 lines of text or 1x 400x75 picture and 1 line of text
