its been a month since i joined Boomerang......good service and the cheapest i came across ......£3.60 a month 1 game a month .....but still i lyk it

I use lovefilm and haven't had any problems with the service, also I can watch films for free online at their website.

currently using this place: http://www.thegamerentalclub.com/
used to be called gamesfrenzy and i've used it off an on for a few years.

doesnt matter who you go with you'll never get your first choice 100% every time ( even boomerang priority service ) but the place i'm with are less strict on how many you have in your que. i currently have about 4 games on my list, i think some places want you to have atleast 10.

best tactics is take boomerangs basic service

3.50 odd a month for one game,if you like it, keep it aslong as you want, if you don't send it back and just upgrade to the next package, (and extra £4 or so)

Keeps costs down, the service is decent, not perfect but better than swapgame in my experience

Thanks for the recommedations.

looking at lovefilm atm, do you HAVE to have 10 games in your queue before they send you anything?

i only ever have the games i want in my queue at lovefilm, which is never more than 1 for me!
most titles are sent out within a few days, longest i had to wait was about 1 week for a new release

No, there's no hard and fast rule, sometimes I have over 10 and sometimes I have 2 or 3, they just say it works better if you have so many in the list which does make sense to be fair but the only way you will get penalised is if the 2 or 3 games you put on the list aren't available for a while so you may have to wait. I actually like to have low priority older titles just in case they have nothing else to send - you can't expect the brand new games every time but I have been pretty satisfied by how many high priorities I get, I got mafia 2 pretty fast after the release date.

managed to put a list of 11 games old and new that i wanted to try but not really buy so should have enough to go on for the next few months, along with fable 3, new vegas and black ops already pre-ordered.

I've never ever used a rental service for games before. How does it work then? You pay the fee per month, usually about a fiver? And you can rent a certain amount of games a month?

You pay the fee, add the games you want to a list with the ones you would like most at the top, they send one from your list (P&P free), you play it for as long as you want and send it back in the same envelope (also P&P free). Then they send you another one.

Price plans vary. For the lowest fees, you generally are allowed 2-4 games per month, one at a time. For as many games as you can play, you start around £10. As you increase the number of discs you can have at the same time, the price goes up. I pay £16 a month for unlimited rentals, 2 games at a time.

Im with boomerang trail period and I have been with lovefilm before and I prefer them, as boomerang won't send me the games on top of my list instead they send out the ones at the bottom of the list :S

Boomerang are about to trial a groundbreaking feature. When you add a game to your list, it will tell you how long you'll have to wait before it gets sent.

It's being trialled by the Priority customers within the next couple of weeks and if successful, will be rolled out for everyone.
