Game review mag?

Since the sad demise of PC Zone (subscriber since issue 1 to the end!) I've been keeping half an eye on PC magazines and am still yet to find a decent one. PC Gamer always feels too... content-light and a bit shallow in its reviews. Edge takes itself seriously, but the cross-platform nature means I'm less likely to enjoy the whole thing.

I've tried online review sites, but for some reason I really liked getting the once-a-month injection of major previews, major reviews and random little reviews that I could just read on the bog/in bed/at lunchtime etc.

So, any recommendations for magazines to try?

I gave up on magazines a long time ago - the information is so out-of-date the time you get it. Most of the online review sites I used to read have gone downhill too though

In this day and age magazines are pretty pointless, use your phone to browse online reviews (once a month). I am with BT and can pretty much find a wi-fi spot anywhere I am. Home I just sit on the bog and connect to my home network and read

Get a tablet and just read Rock Paper Shotgun once a month
