Guys, I'm about to rebuild my PC, and I want to backup my SP saved games and profile for MW2. I also want to backup the same for Batman: Arkham Asylum and Mass Effect 2. Where is this all stored?

Usually documents and settings/username/application data

You should then recognise the folder names. turn hidden folders on in file options.

Here you go : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\players\save

You may just want to copy the whole 'players' folder as it has config files etc, up to you though

Save files are usually either in:

The game folder (or relevant steam folder)
My Games in My Documents
Actually in My Documents
Appdata in your User/"name"

Batman i don't remember but i know its a major pita to do it, think you have to get the Live data too so it actually recognises it. Look elsewhere, be quicker.
Mass Effect, assuming its in the same place as Mass Effect and Dragon Age is in the Bioware folder in My Docs.

Apart from that I can't say much more for mass effect 2 and batman because I don't own them, I should have mass effect 2 tommorow and I will post the file path just encase you haven't found it by then

Mass Effect 2 save games are located in a Bioware Folder in either of your My Documents folders (My Documents\Bioware or Users\<your user name>\Bioware)

This is one of the few things that i REALLY wish pc gaming had - easy save back up.

Surprised theres no download/fan made program type thing which does it all for you.

Well no, the problem is because every developer, as per usual, has its own answer to save files. Some are in bizarre hidden folders in Appdata like Torchlight, some are in the Steam folder like MW2 (?), some are in My Documents under the devs name like Dragon Age (Bioware), some are in My Games like Borderlands, some are a serious pain in the arse (curiously the only ones that spring to mind are Games for Windows titles).

Alas, nothing irritates me more when it comes to save files than the Bethesda method... different folders depending on if you signed into Live or not and everything in 1 long list, so Quicksave/Autosaves overwrite between characters and you can't name the files so everything just looks like a mess.
