When games save your game etc what do they save, just wondering as i was talking to a friend at work about this today.

We both have PS3's, and with the online storage with PSplus, both had been backing up game saves to it for recent games as its alwasy good incase you accidently overwrite a save.

But when doing so, backed up other game saves aswell and notices the size of them is all over.

Some games are a few 100kb, some are a few mb

biggest game save i found on mine was joe danger at 8.1mb wtf its a PSN game whats it doing resaving the entire game, then i have other games that i would have thought be large saves and are 1mb or less.

I was looking through my PC last night wondering where my free space on drive C: had gone. Dragon Age Origins was the culprit with 1 set of saves split over 3 folders....total size of all files was just short of 1GB! :(

Console saves are rarely that large. I think my God of War III save was like 280kb. I have no idea what is saved in there though. Some may save everything to one file while others may store other data elsewhere in the install or something. No idea why Joe Danger is so large, I've not looked at my save but surely all it is storing is what races you have won, what times and stuff you have achieved and your high scores. Have you created any levels? that might bump it up I suppose.
