game saves etc

hi

can i assume that my ps3 game saves goes to my PSN acct and when i buy a ps4 in a few wks, my psn id will be the same and my game saves will be downlaoded to my ps4?

i will keep my ps3 as a backup for a couple of mths and then sell it.

can i upgrade the HDD like now and then network cable crossover all the data like movies etc?

Why would you want your PS3 saves on your PS4? The PS4 is not backwards compatible so your PS3 games won't work on it.

You'll use the same PSN account obviously, but no data on the PS3 will be usable on the PS4. That includes media.

Your save games will only backup to your PSN account if you have PSplus.

Also, as others have said, none of the PS3 games/saves will work on your PS4, so it's a moot point anyway

Although, I guess in future if they re-release some PS3 classics on the PS4, like they've done with some PS1/PS2 games, the old saves <might> work (but we're talking slim possibility, and a few years in the future...)

ok, cheers. i havent looked into the ps4 much at all. guess ill work my way through my ps3 game stockpile before upgrading to the 4. have soooo many to play.
