Hi,

I haven't played online games for about 3 or 4 years now, but am just about to get back into it when I upgrade my PC. I used to use Gamespy Arcade to find game servers, but I just wondered is that still what everybody uses?

If not, what is the most popular tool for finding game servers?

Cheers,

Simon

Most games now have inbuilt browsers of varying quality. The Supreme commander one is pretty good while the BF2 one is shockingly bad. I imagine that gamespy is still going but I don't really have any need for it nowadays.....

Yeah Gamespy is still going, but I downloaded it and its all full of ads now. I guess they want you to pay the subscription, but it used to be free with no ads.

Yeah, I like All Seeing Eye or Xfire
I never used to look for servers anyway, we would just all bully our team's welshman into finding a good server to play on. :p then flame him if it lags too much :D

Xfire here.

I haven’t used any of the others for a while so I don't know if they now have similar features, but with Xfire you can always see very easily what games your friends are playing and join the server they are on automatically by clicking on them (the same with their teamspeak server). You can also have different groups for your contacts, for clan mates etc.
