Game stutter

Hi,

Having some issues with FPS stutter, had this issue previously, basically every 2-3 seconds the fps will drop and the game will stutter for half a second roughly.

I fixed it before by disabling window DVR ****, and it went a way for a few months however now it's come back.
I did a reinstall of graphics drivers last night and it stopped, however tonight it's back and the PC hasn't been turned off or restarted since the driver update last night.

Anyone had issues with this? mostly noticeable in PUBG and Rainbow 6 siege.
Below are specs and a benchmark from R6 Siege
i7 6700k
gigbyte mobo
1866mhz kingston DDR3
Nvidia 1080
BeQuiet 650w PSU
Samsung 850 evo 256gb SSD x2

Update, uninstalled the drivers with DDU and did a reinstall annddd... like last night stutter is gone.

Anyone got any ideas on this, i dont want to to reinstall drivers every time i play a game.

Not much, only thing running in the background is the usual (chrome, discord..etc) update wise got one for World of tanks but that hasn't updated in a few days and windows update i've disabled auto download and such so i download and install those manually.

Gah found out the issue... amazon prime video, close the tab stutter gone, open the tab and start the video, stutter comes back.

Yeah separate monitors, ones 165hz (gaming) and the other is 60hz (video)

I dont have a pc right now but i don't know what was causing it, perhaps a driver update, or maybe not. When i get it all put back together once z390 comes out i'll check to see if it still happens. TBH i just stopped using the twitch client.

You might find that locking the refresh rate to 60 (just to test) fixes the problem. Not a solution i know, but at least it is an answer.

ahh didn't think of that, lemme test.
I can put up with 60hz in WoT, high refresh rate is more noteable in FPS's anyway

Now you need to swap that second 60hz monitor for another 144hz gsync display. It's all part of Nvidia's nefarious plan to get you to upgrade! /s

Hopefully they'll get it sorted at some point.

hahaha, fortunately it just seems to be prime, youtube doesnt seem to cause any issues, and neither does netflix, just amazon prime.
not sure i can sink more money into another Asus ROG monitor, this one was expensive enough
