game stuttering, need help long time

Try and strip down the machine too just the bare minimum, disconect any spare devices such as network cards / spare hard drives etc and see if it makes any difference.

Try unplugging the mouse and the keyboard after letting the F.E.A.R benchmark load.

.... Hey worth a shot :p

Did you try fiddling around with your USB ports? disabling them / removing any devices plugged in?

well i changed the mobo and its exactly the same, this takes the ****.

iv gone from website to website week after week trying to sort this out but nothing seems to want to work. Im almost to the point where im just going to sell and rebuild a whole new system changing every brand.

smooth stutter smooth stutter

I would have went with the sound card option as i had a very similar problem. As soon as i used a seperate sound card it never happened since. If you tried that then the only other thing i can think of is to reformat. You already defragged your drives then it should not be a hard disk. Is all HD 7200rpm min?

If you can try reformatting and installing on another HD. That would definitely rule out the drives.

definitely worth trying vsync off. Makes a huge difference in Need for Speed Most Wanted. Used to get a similar effect but vsync off seems to make it much better.

I too was having a problem not that long ago and it took me and age to suss mine out. Mine used to play for 5-10 seconds stutter for 1 and then again and again. some times it was worse than others. In the end i found it by accident and it was my second hard which seemed to be corrupted or failing in some way. could be the early signs of a dying drive.

i still havnt tried with a diff sound card, but have tried with the sound set to off in the bios. makes no difference, which gives me the idea a new sound card wouldnt change it.

i have tried with vsync off and messed about with all the possible settings, unfortunatly it makes no difference

could this be a psu issue not supplying my graphics card, motherboard with enough power

i have an enermex 530w

yeah i have done all that aswel.

I have a lot more bios settings with this motherboard than my old a8n-sli se so im hoping one of these extra settings will fix it

Wish i know what was causing it so i could replace the component, could it be a possible cpu issue
