Do you ever get this, you know what sort of game you want to play, only cant seem to find anything that fits the bill?
I want to play a game similar to Nexus: The Jupiter Incident, but not EvE everyone bloody well recommends it, the combats great and all but not the bits between the combat, they're still slow and tedious.
Or something like Mechwarrior, only with spaceships that you can customise, not Mechs, and not first person, not in the mood for twitchy combat.
I guess you could call it a tactical space sim. Any suggestions?

. That being said, the modding community has been one of the strongest I've ever seen and continues to be strong, so there are downloadable ships from all corners of science fiction...
