Game wont start... (360 DoA4)

Hello,

I got a copy of DoA4 off Ebay for my wife (She only plays fighting games - better fighting the Xbox than hitting me

). I get the hour long warning message screen, and then the load screen, then get prompted to press start and nothing else happens. The disc is not the cleanest I've ever seen, but I'd have thought if it was faulty it would not load at all..

Anyone ever seen anything like this?

I just got the machine back from MS after a 3RoD repair. Its actually the only disc I have, as I brought this machine off my mate when he got his Elite (because this one had died and he didn't think he could go 20 days without playing), and I've not brought anything else. So I cant confirm the drive is OK, but I've played arcade games OK.

Very odd.

Discs will error randomly if damaged and may well load certain parts fine.

I mailed the seller. I was thinking he's sold me a lemon. It was cheap though, so its OK.

If you have to change the screen settings I believe. If I am correct, the game only runs at 60mhz.

I had the same problem, and took it back twice, it was on this second time that the manager of the shop told me.

you could take it into a gameshop on the highstreet and ask them to clean it. normally they'll have a machine that will clean your discs to perfection. normaly costs a couple of quid.
