Hi Guys, I spotted this software while having a look around at how to improve framerates in Skyrim.

Now I don't usually like software solutions for PC optimization, I'm a fan of figuring out what is and isnt needed myself and disabling stuff.

But from the look of this software, It's a 1 click on\off solution. Which seems interesting.

1. Has anyone used it and had good experiences?
2. There is a warning of cons on one of the websites. It says it can disable things that are important, and you end up with system crashes. So kind of a big con :p

But I just wondered what people think.

isn't this pretty much pointless in times of quad core CPUs and 4GB+ RAM?

I can see how it'd be helpful on an old spec machine, but services and whatnot use so little resources on a modern gaming rig.

I used to use this on my old Athlon x2 5000+ to help play Battlefield Bad Co 2, it gave me another 5-7fps which was enough for me seeing as I was only getting about 30ish anyway :p

I've used this in the past on non-gaming laptops, it's given a small noticeable boost.

Doesn't really do anything for modern systems, but I guess if you need something to kill selected processes in one click it's handy.

As people have said this makes a difference only on older machines, but that's where you could really do with any small boosts ;)

yeah my opinion of this kind of software is its mainly aimed at users that have 1-2GB Ram with slow processors etc.

It basically frees up resources from windows by disabling services etc.
