If anyone here has a GC Freeloader (purple sleeve on the case) could you try it with any import GC games you have? I was under the impression that the last Wii system update blocked all Freeloaders (which was correct since my Wii freeloader disc (blue sleeve) stopped working but I recently bought Zelda Four Swords not realising it was the US version and it failed to work so had to break out the GC and GC Freeloader.
On the off chance I tried it on the Wii and it worked with the GC Freeloader but not the Wii Freeloader. It took longer to load the game on the Wii but it did load it, if it doesn't load the first few times keep putting the disc in on the Freeloader screen and it will spin up and load the game (at least from my testing).
Have I gotten lucky?
