Hi all,

I've been offered a couple of gamecube games for £1 each, tempted to snap his hand off for them however I'd have to play them on a Wii so a couple of questions first!

Do you need a GC controller to play them on the Wii? What about saving them?

If you need GC controller/save card any chance you can rig it to use the standard Wii controller or HDD/SD for saves?

While I am at it, can anyone suggest any GC games I should look at getting?

Yes you will need a GameCube controller to play their respective games on the Wii. The Wii Classic controller can work as well, but not all games tend to be supported, and you will also need to have GameCube memory cards. Its the reason why the slots are there. And no you cannot use the Wiimote and Nunchucks for a GameCube game as obviously the technology is not in them.

As for a few GameCube game recommendations,

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader,
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike,
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes,
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Walker,
Mario Kart Double Dash,
F-Zero GX,
Super Smash Bros. Melee,
Super Monkey Ball,

And I'm sure theres plenty more.

Basically just go for the GameCube exclusive titles that you can never get on the other consoles of the time.
