why does everyone go on and on about the dreamcast and how amazing it was?

where were you when sega needed you?

The dreamcast died so quickly because nobody bought the things, so where is all this nostalgia coming from?

It didn't sell mainly because everyone wanted a PS2 and it was marketed wrong. I had one at launch and it was by far one of the greatest consoles ever made. Way ahead of its time. So many classics on that system.
