It isn't something i've ever been willing to put up with, it certainly isn't something I could tune out, no matter how long I subjected myself to it

This.

Tearing, input lag and stutter can do one. Nobody should have to put up with it when there is options out there.
 
No input lag here or stutter? Tearing yes. But guess what not everyone is the same. I don't sit there looking for it. I just enjoy the games, and don't notice it.

I wish I was like that.
If I couldn't see tearing than I probably wouldn't notice the difference between Ultra graphics and Lowest graphics, which would probably save me money on hardware...

Can't tell the difference in graphics, honestly don't notice screen tear (not ignorant enough to claim it doesn't exist mind!)

What I will say, I notice when running @60hz instantly. Tried Gsync aswell and felt weird, not in a good way (so that fact alone prooves I'm too used to tear and no tear annoys me lol)
