Gameloft to make games for iPhone

just seems a bit cheeky that you, iSam, probably Justin, all have links in your signatures and now you've started a thread which doesn't motivate any conversation and never would (other than "omg, really? cool"). I could understand if it was a basis for debate, but it isn't.

Didn't even realise iSam had a link, cheers matey.

Why can't the thread be a basis for debate? I for one would like to know what people's thoughts are about the idea of Gameloft creating iPhone games. I don't play games on normal mobiles, so not really sure what their normal products are like. Are they any good?

If people would prefer, I can change the link to one on a different site.

So Sic, when do I get a link in your sig? ;)

it's just me being grumpy probably. I'll let you know if it still bothers me tomorrow - it's so easy to complain on the internet.

Personally, I'm not a fan of gameloft. They seem to take games that were never meant for consoles and put them on a crappy 2d screen. Obviously, this is mostly due to restrictions of the platform, but it doesn't change the fact that they're rubbish. I see that a demo of Spore was presented with the launch of the SDK, I'd like to see what they've done with that and how it performs. I expect Gameloft will carry on with their trademark rubbish games that sell for more than they should, but I'd like to be surprised.

And my signature is reserved for stuff that I produce.

I'm not a prolific blogger by any stretch of the imagination, but you haven't cited a source for this gameloft thing in your post.

I put the link in there 'cos it's a good site and is usually maintained following discussion on this forum. Justin has done a great guide on there as well for iPhone unlockers.

Moving back onto point, how much do you think these games would cost? Same as the iPod games?
