I have PES2008 and MGS2:Substance. I have an X360 pad and a Joytech PS2 pad convertor (USB). This is all well and good for PES08, which detects everything, lets one player have the PS2 pad and everyone else goes on the X360 pads.

This is no good for MGS2, who seems to refuse to acknowledge there is something other than Xbox 360 pads in this universe. I used to play it with the convertor, but back in those days I didn't have X360 pads. Unfortunately MGS2 is unplayable with an X360 pad (The triggers aren't detected as L2/R2 because the X360 doesn't recognise them as a button, but as an axis, Z axis I believe).

Is there some software I can use to force programs to use certain peripherals or something? I tried disabling the 360 pads in device manager but all that means is that MGS2 detects no joypads...

I have this problem with kane and lynch. Being a windows vista release, it won't detect anything but a 360 pad :(
