Gameplay keeps minimising??

My games that i play through steam keeps minimizing, ive tried to disable processes in task mang and deleted anti-virus see if it was that, tried everything... every few seconds my game gets minimized but when opt into window mode the mouse in some way keeps clicking out of game?.. does this thing happen often?

Do you have a nvidia GPU? If so it could be there shadowplay software causing the issue.

make sure that this isn't getting stuck down, is there anything running on the PC that can be popping up any messages in the system tray?

i have never had the issue to be honest unless i wanted to minimise the game.

Samsung Magician installed?

Sometimes there is a problem with headphone/device plugged in/unplugged with realtek sound hardware that can cause it but you'd see a popup for a moment when it happens.

EDIT: Also a problem with the Origin overlay can cause that though it generally happens to a small number of EA/Origin games and only affects other games in a very small number of cases.

i have the Samsung magician software on my PC.

its quite temperamental but my son plays minecraft on my PC, if the SSD software is running it will auto minimise to the desktop and when clicked on it will pop up and then back down again until the software is closed and then its fine.

some days its not a issue and some days it is.

i have done clean installs as well so i know its not a PC issue, only started happening on version 4.5, never a issue with 4.4

Its been doing it with all 4.x versions for me - it is temperamental but happens more often than not - seems to be badly programmed in the way it interfaces with DirectX. I stop the UI from running at startup so no tray icon, etc. but leave its background stuff which doesn't seem to cause a problem.

i got it working... i ended up disabling everything on start up in msconfig... it does the trick.. but what apps are the problem??..

oh yeah, when i run my game in window mode my mouse sometimes clicks things on the desktop and the default mouse appears with the game mouse but a bit of on screen, itdoesn't minimise tho.

so, A something is minimising my game and B mouse clicking is tampering with the game but !??!!?

I have something like that in Steam - it's not annoying me enough to fix it though. Essentially, with Steam open, a game will minimise. Once I've max'd it, it's then fine for the rest of the time. Open new game and the same again. Doesn't happen with Steam closed so it's a bug in there somewhere.

I had the same problem fixed it by disabling Software Protection Service worked for me.
My games used to minimize after about 1 min constantly not anymore.
