Searched for a thread but couldn't find one.

Heard about this stuff for the first time the other day and tried it today. Basically when gaming or using computer/console my hands get sweaty leaving the mouse and gamepad damp. Its not particularly nice and can cause your hand to slip every now and again.

Anyway I read about gamer grip which is a antiperspirant cream you rub in your hands and basically keeps them nice and dry for a few hours. Have to say for me it works like a charm, just been using it in a warmish room and mouse and gamepad are free for moisture as are my hands.

It doesn't cause my hands to be sticky or feel overly dry so although it may not work for everyone, it might come in handy for some on here who have similar issues.

I wont link it but it can be had from a certain game store you find in the high street.

Would be nice if OCUK stocked it.

I used to get this a lot when I was younger so wish I knew about this product then. I find that I don't get it much anymore but this may be down to me being a bit ott with cleaning my hands. Or my palms may have just gotten used to the presence of input devices.

I don't get sweaty grips, but my wrists oddly moisten the mat after long periods of gaming.. Might give this a shot.

If you use too much it would.

Now you have some look at the ingredients used, you'll probably find something at the chemist with the same stuff but without the premium of having 'gamer' in the title to save money.

I think I'll just stick with taking a break or wiping my hands on my shorts/trousers/pants/legs/dogs face.

Do people still use the first world problems comment?

I do but for a tenner it will last me months and saves all those seconds using a towel.

I'm sorry, should I not have used "first world problems" to describe what, to be perfectly frank, is an issue of such small significance? I cannot believe you're actually willing to pay over £10 for some cream to rub on your hands so that you don't have to wipe them on a towel. It's baffling to be honest.

It's really £10???!!!

Jeezy... They do something for drummers called Gorilla Snot, which puts a sticky coating on your drumsticks, but that's only £2 and it does at least stop a sweaty drumstick from flying out your hands and spearing a paying audience member in the face...!!

Here's a thought - Get a £10 desk fan or something and eliminate the sweat from more than just your hands....

I've just looked at their website and I've used this before albeit for rugby which is a suggested use. It works rather well actually but by half time I found it has mostly worn away. I'd never try this for gaming though as it's really sticky and rather expensive. I'm also not sure how well it does with cheeto dust and mountan dew.

Make sure it's not EA branded as you'll be paying for just the container, you'll need to pay for DLC to get the cream.

On the bright side if he bought the ubisoft brand he would have to buy season pass 1 only to discover it's actually a two part cream and he has to buy season pass 2 to get the activator.

To be fair if it was Ubisoft he wouldn't be able to buy it as the servers would be down.
