Do you need a power supply!
If your gaming you might want to swap the q6600 to a E8400 or 8500 as not many
games support quad core and the 8xxx should be slightly faster.

Oops forgot to mention that, what powersupply does the 4870x2 need ?

Also i guess i can change it, only reason was farcry2 "supposbly" supports quad core so i was just thinking it wasnt much of a loss.

For the cpu cooler i would go for either a TT or a TRUE, seem to have the best rep around here. Also if your arent an audiophile or need the extra features of the sound card, a xonar card would be a v.good choice and save you some cash. Not heard much about the mobo either tbh

Edit: Bit slow

The corsair TX750 would be a good choice of PSU imo, would still get the quad if i were you for 'future proofing' if there is such a thing these days!

Must have missed the TT on the list.
Also i was gona use sennheiser 595 headphones so which would be a better card ?

Edit: also thanx on the PSU.

No bother bud. The card you chose is probably the 'better' card but the xonar cards or the x-fi extreme gamer are really good cards too. imo the the others offer better value than the one you chose but hey if you want the other card, go for it!

Bit jealous of your rig too!

Geil ram has been getting some v.good press round here recently too
Yep been reading a lot of good reports about geil, when i upgrade to vista 64 ill probably go with the ocz or perhaps geil, albeit pc 6400 2x2gb as i dont intend to oc my q6600 above 3.6ghz.

I can vouch for the awesomeness of the Corsair TX750. I'd make sweet sweet love to mine if it I didn't know it'd result in an electrically charged disaster.

MSI boards are alright. I would go for the P5Q Pro, as it has a slightly better feature set for not much more cash. Change the cooler to a Tuniq Tower 120, the Asus might have amazing in the name, but it sure isn't. Go for the retail Q6600, it doesn't cost much more and comes with a much longer warranty (which you can use ;)) Definitely go for GeIL Black Dragon, it is far cheaper. OCZ isn't as good at all. Yeah, the customer service might be pretty good, but the modules themselves are sub-par compared to the competition. Change the soundcard to an Asus Xonar DX. It is going to sound just as good, and you won't need the extra features of more expensive soundcards unless you have ultra special requirements. Finally, TX750 power supply. Then you will be all set and ready to go.
