Ok can anyone spec a chair for a gamer to provide best lumber, height and overll seating support with adjustment?

My current ex pub oak seat is not doing me any favours in the back department....

why not OCuK stock this stuff, could be good business!

Cheers

You mean like this one??

Joking aside i would be interested to know also...

Whoever designed that thing obviously didnt have cable management in mind.

Just imagine stumbling in at 3am, wasted, and bursting for a slash. I dunno about you, but my aim isnt great at the best of times, let alone when im drunk. With all those wires laying around, you'd be better off sitting down for a slash incase you missed the bowl and zapped your little soldier. :o

I personally find that any decent office chair is good.

I have one that was being chucked out as it had a broken part...nothing a bit of welding couldn't fix. The chair has arms, high adjustment on gas lever, forwards backwards tilt of the seat aswell as independant adjustment of the back.
Unfourtunatly there is no label as to say who made it etc.

Having said that this sort of office chair does infact normally cost a fair bit, so it may be hard to find one like it at a decent price.

Used them in an office, found them to be really uncomfy. I'm a skinny guy, and even so my ass got squished through the mesh a bit, and left it feeling wrong and with a pattern on it.

Herman Miller is great for your back but cack for your behind. They are too soft and you can feel the hard plastic digging in your thighs after a couple of hours in them. We had them where I used to work and at the end of a twelve hour shift I couldnt wait to sit in my car.

well my desk is pretty low so guess what ,i can relax in one of these!!

it never gets uncomfortable, ive been at my pc for many hours and not once thought "oh my ass is numb" or "oh my ass is itchy" its just a perfect position to sit in. i love it. its got a sponge cusion covered in cotton (i think) with a strong material across the wooden frame underneath where you sit. so no digging in. i doubt its any good for what you want but its just perfect for me and i thought id share this with the world :D best £70 i ever spent (gone up in price since i bought mine :( )

i did work in a health and safety anal company, but when your sat there 1-2 hrs at a time, if your seating ain't right you'll start to feel it later, and what's worse, you don' know what it is at first... sometimes blame car seat or a run round the park with the kids, but get the gaming seat wrong and your'll be stufffed later on in life...

thanks anyway, appreciate the help, i have a 100 quid budget so auction or some of the cheaper models may be my route..

I dont like a chair to slouch in because it makes me lose concentration for matches as I seem to want to sleep rather than play ;).
