watch out ive noticed since installing that odd game has weird mouse lag. in a fast fps its really annoying ! i was trying cod 4 and thats effecting by it and since looking for a fix ive found numerous games and people asking the same and how to fix !

on win8 all was fine only on 8.1 so i would hold off on 8.1 if you game a lot and stick to 8 while they fix this.

Gamer myself with NO problems on Win8.1 Pro x64 ,mind you I did a clean install so could be why and yes some of my games go way back from present to 1997.

you seem to not grasp it effects everyone ! its a windows issue on 8.1.

your games maybe not effected but..it is broke on your pc if you have 8.1 installed.

It's probably some mouse acceleration/smoothing going on in the OS, which can be disabled (haven't read anything about it tbh)

The point is Windows 8.1 has a bug which previous versions didn't, the article even states 'some games' so if you aren't affected that's great but it doesn't change the fact.

You missing my point so far I've not had any issues in gaming even online FPS in multiplay,also since when have you seen ANY OS without bugs?...All operating systems and even drivers have a bug or two,it will be fixed just like no OS is perfect thats why we keep getting updates etc.

We all know how perfect Windows is right

Anyway off to multiplay online in FPS,nothing like a good FPS and some killing to relieve tension

I have more of an issue with Nvidia drivers ie anything past 314.22 is crap for me and a lot of 4xx /5xx owners,even nvidia are trying to solve the issues https://forums.geforce.com/default/...-freeze-or-tdr-thread-w-geforce-460-560-gpus/ .

Always be a problem or two around the corner,gamers always get a short straw sooner or later.

I had this a lot but is seems to be cured after the GA rollup 1 for 8.1, I have a friend on 8 and he is using the old 314.22 drivers currently to avoid this issue.

It might be worth checking "enhance pointer precision" is switched off in control panel:mouse

ointer options the same as in Windows 7.

I've go no intention in going to Windows 8/8.1 from 7. Does everything I need to tbh. Might switch later on when I get into BF4 but certainly not yet. Wasn't too impressed with BF3 compared BFBC2 so won't be jumping on the bandwagon immediately.

as said read the article it does effect everyone as its in the update not random users. 8 was fine 8.1 isnt.

I've been using 8.1RTM for weeks and it doesn't effect me and I've put plenty of hours in on BF3, BF4 and others.
