Games all time favorite

I remember being a kid and being so excited about it, think id rather play link to the past on the snes now though.

In my opinion that is the best zelda game. I remember when I got up to Ganon and got up at like 5am before primary school to kill him, went to school happy that day :D

I have to say you people are all wrong :D. Well partly right...but you aren't getting them all together so lets just end the thread here with the obvious selection that you all know is true:

=============WARNING BIG LIST COMING=============

Goldeneye 64 - Don't need much explaining. Especially if you were a lil kid like me a the time it was beyond incredible

Zelda: ocarina of time 64 - Again, this game was just huge. LIke nothing I had ever played before and stole much of my life away from me slaving away at it.

Age of empires - If you haven't heard of it you are a failure of a gamer. Revolutionised RTS. Pity AOE3 was just terrible.

Settlers 3 - Absolutely incredible game. I had never seen a game which required so much in depth thinking about the micro of your people.

MOH:AA - This was incredible when it came out. Captured real atmosphere and drama. Online was exceptionally good as well.

COD2: Similar to MOHAA really. Both are fantastic games. Unfortunetly every cod after it has completely gone off the track of what COD2 felt like and im sad to say I have hated every one since.

BF2 - Quite frankly one of the greatest shooters that will ever come out in my opinion. No game has ever captured such a sense of achievement through team play like this game has for me. If you haven't felt it, you probably aren't playing with the right people. Give it another go. 2 decent squads and a good commander can be an extremely absorbing experience.

Medieval total war - This game truely did spark something incredible. So do shogun but this was what brought it out if you ask me. The recent total wars have gone way off track but I just hope they come back to what made total war and go from there again.

Supreme comander
- Yet to see it mentioned. It is by far one of the greatest RTS's of all time. No game has ever brought together so many aspects of war in such a huge theatre. It's simply mind blowingly awesome.

Company of heroes - Hard to master but it is an extremely tactical RTS. It is one of a kind and will hopefully influence more games in the future. This one takes a lot of skill and it's why I love it.

HL series - While I have still yet to Finnish them they truly are exception. Enough said.

CS:S - A technically brilliant game. The mechanics behind the shooting are some of the best you will find in a game when factoring skill/realism/fun together. Everyone should own this classic.

Runners up which may not have aged too well or appeal to all:

Theme hospital- an incredible game which all should try. It's a lot harder then it looks and is a tough strategy game, not a kids game! The humour is also as always, bullfrog :P. This is still playable of w7 btw.

Dungeon keeper 2 - Absolutely incredible game when it came out. The humour is great and bullfrogy but the AI did not pass the test of time at all. By now days standards the game is very easy. But it is still incredible fun and an idea which should have sparked an impressive sequel. Shame it got cancelled :(. Also playable of w7.

Heroes of might and magic 3 - This is an extremely hard game on the highest difficulties but it is a classic which I suspect you will either love or hate. It is playable of windows 7 by the way, for those that wish to get back into it.

Fable - Not what it should have been but it was still a fantastic game. It captured a lot of emotion and atmosphere and is a game that I will always enjoy playing. Even if you can storm through it within 4 hours.

GTA3 - A truely incredible game for it's time and sparked a huge investment into sandbox gaming by many other studios. However I feel they will never be able to do it like Rockstar can.

Well thats off the top of my head. I've no doubt missed loads.

I'm a sucker for these type of threads, so:

The Bards Tale (spectrum) - A pretty cool RPG back in the 80's.
Chaos (spectrum) - A pre-cursor to the X-Com series with wizards 'n stuff.
UFO: Enemy Unknown (PC) - Everyone knows this game!
Fallout (PC) - If you've never played this - go kill yourself.
Day of Defeat (PC) - Best team FPS I've ever played. Had some golden moments with this game.
Civilisation IV (PC) - The reason for the massive decline in my FPS skill. The sheer amount of mods made this a game that just wouldn't die.
Dragon Age: Origins (PC) - The storyline was pretty damn sweet. My gusset is firmly moist in anticipation for the sequel.

Goldeneye 64. Best game ever.
