Games and other windows being minimised by unknown/rogue process

Hello

So, the past 7/8 weeks, I’ve been trying to track an issue to no avail, which causes a cmd prompt to flash up for a split second, minimising games, before disappearing without a trace.

I downloaded a process logger to try and catch what is causing it, which lead me to a couple of very odd results.

One of the processes that flags up is MsMpEng, which is obviously related to Windows defender, so I tried deactivating WD and test, which produced no different result.

Another process which popped up is “dwfvbhv” which when I hit properties listed it as a “.net assembly registration utility” but what struck me as odd is any process that is flagged at the time of the cmd window opening, they all try referencing the same path “Users\pcname\AppData\Roaming\dwfvbhv” which doesn’t exist.

I have done a full scan with WD, which resulted in no issues being found, but when I have tried launching in safe mode to perform the scan, the security page is completely blank.

I’m hoping someone can help with this, as I really don’t want to have to reinstall windows for the 3rd time in 5 months, but I really don’t know what other choices I have.

All of the processes start at x:00:00, x:10:00, x:20:00 etc and the logger I am using is Process Monitor by Sysinternals. I will try including the full log I’ve managed to narrow it down too asap.

Thank you for any help anyone can provide.
