temperature is fine its not overclocked and i'm using the drivers that came with the card

Could be a problem, i remember the drives that came with my x800 were something like 5.1s

Go to www.ati.com and download the latest XP 6.4 drivers.

Uninstall the old ones through control pannel, restart, install the new ones and restart again.

Might work

it says the 6.4 is meatnt for 2 x TUL Radeon® X1600 PRO 256MB Crossfire cards tho , would it matter

Nope wouldnt matter at all, as long as your downloading the Radeon Catalyst 6.4 drivers, then they will work

edit: Or are the 6.5's the latest drivers? Cant remember :p

What card did you have in there before, did you fully remove the drivers by using safemode, driver cleaner etc... before installing the new card/drivers. :)

Have you got the power connected to the card also.

may not be the card, list your other specs.

does the card work fine with any other games?

MOH pacific assault & Hitman blood money are power hungry games.....

yeah it has a separate power supply all plugged in properly i removed all drivers on my other card safely . It even crashes on hitman 2 but silent hunter 3 works fine my last card was a 9600 radeon pro 128mb
