Games Explorer window problem

hi all, my games explorer window is aking forever to open over 30 seconds is there anything i can do to fix this,obvioulsy a format,reinstall would work but looking for other solutions please

Have you tried different icon sizes or setting the views option to details?

How many games do you have on there?
I have 21 plus some that are hidden(different versions of the same game-NWN & Guild Wars expansions also Steam games), mine takes like 5 seconds.

have 35 games on there but havent ever had any probs before when opening folder

Your specs definitely don't seem to be the problem.

I assume you defrag regularly? Is the rest of Windows still fairly snappy?

yeah have tryed a defrag had a good clean up of windows,im going to do a reinstall as theres a few things im not happy with

Yeah, probably better to reinstall if there's other things that you're not happy with.
