games for a 4 year old?

heh.. thanks for suggestions will try the Cbeebies site for sure! :) never thought of it lol :D

about allowing him on the lappy.. he doesn't play more than 1hr a day.. not even that :) i hope he won't get addicted! :]

No problem matey

Its very good for mouse control as the kids dont have to be exact with it.

Anyone know of any simple games for a 4 year old brother? basically he has his "own" cheap laptop.. and i've got no idea what games to install? :) i need something simple best of all mouse controlled (as thats one thing he can use properly) any ideas?

I thought Logiz was 16? :p

Tried shareware dos games such as Jetpack, Cyberbox or Commander Keen 1? You may need to use DOSbox for this.

nah never tried them! got some games already will install them and see if he plays them ;] but probably he'll stick with cbeebies site as that is perfect for him :]

Lego Batman, Starwars, Indiana Jones

My 3 yr old nephew can;t get enough of them and refuses to do anything until "he's completed the level"

Mega second Hocus Pocus. I played that very game when I got my first computer at 5~ years old. Was amazing. The other two games I played at that age were Comix Zone and Echo The Dolphin. Great games.

OpenTTD.
Other Tycoon games, rollercoaster tycoon and similar.
Settlers series.
Theme Hospital.
Sim games like Sim City 3k ( 4 might be too hard), Pharaoh, Caesar 3.
Age of empires, AoE2.

I would try, if I had em, to keep my children away from dumbed down kids games.

Some simple but good games :
Original Doom and Wolvenstein.
Commander keen games ( Ck 4 is best imo and is shareware iirc).

No games aimed at toddlers though, avoid like the plague.
