I'm stopping over at my partents at the moment and I'm getting a bit bored so want some games to play. Its my old system which is an Athlon 1.3ghz 512mb ram and a geforce 3.
Obviously nothing made in the last 3-4 years is going to run great on it but can anyone recommend any older games that I could probably pick up cheap.
I only have a mouse and keyboard so driving and flying games are out!

I quite like RTS's, turn based games, FPS and RPGs.

Any suggestions would be great.

Cheers.

it could run HL2 on 1024x768, AA off, Af off, medium/low detail settings etc

Deus Ex
Red Faction
Halflife/Couterstrike 1.6

can think of many of the top of my head

Seconded on Baldurs Gate and Icewind Dale. How about Serious Sam for some fun fps gaming? Half Life and some of the best mods should keep you busy as should Thief 1+2.

Crysis should handly nicely.

Sorry, had to

Ignoring titles already mentioned:

Diablo 2
KOTOR (not too sure on performance but you don't need mega FPS in an RPG)
Unreal
Civ3
Command and Conquer: The First Decade

Someone mentioned Morrowind earlier, although it's an old game it is extremely demanding and might chug on that rig in places.

I remember originally playing Morrowind on an equivalent rig and it was ok, although i did have some other program installed that boosted draw distance and what have you, can't remember what it was called.

Cheers peeps. Never played Baldurs Gate so may give that a look. May also pick up Star Craft and the expansion. Loved SC when it first came out but never played the expansion pack.

Baldur's Gate 1, 2 and both expansions can be had in one seriously bargainous box these days, and is pretty much guaranteed to provide one of the best gaming experiences of your life! :D
