I'll most likely buy a Logitech G25, I just love the clutch and 6 step gearbox :D
Anyhow, now I'm looking for some games suitable for it. The games I've come up with so far:

GTR 2
LFS S2
Test Drive: Unlimited(will soon be out)

That's about it really... Are there any other games suitable for this steering wheel? I'm a huge fan of Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo 4, but I take it there aren't any similar games available? Will there be any in near future?

Thanks.

Richard Burns Rally, excellent game but has a steep learning curve. I've posted a vid of it in the videos thread. Haven't got round to trying it with the G25, but it worked fine with a DFP.

Rfactor, GTR/L, nkPro.
I don't like them, much prefer LFS, but you might.

God, I hate NFS Carbon and most wanted... Arcade is generally not my style! ;)

I wasnt the biggest fan of em, I played them for a few days but i sharp got tired of em, Would have been quite cool playing it with such a great wheel. But With a Clutch and 6 speed manual etc this wheel is probably best suited to sims

You could try simbin's other games. While the original GTR is very similar to GTR2 its well worth trying GTL and Race.

There is only one for me, Live For Speed.

For saying it's still only an Alpha, it's the best driving sim I've ever played and it's constantly getting better.

It doesn't have the money/sponsorship backing of GTR and the like but BMW F1 have invested in it recently to give it its first real world car so they can't be doing much wrong.

The GTR series is ahead in terms of sound and overall experience, but for pure racing I love this game.

We got our first real life car as a xmas pressie in 2003, the MRT.
Then with S2 came the Raceabout (www.raceabout.fi).

I have richard burns rally, great game :)

I have to say I like GTR 2, the sound is simply awesome. On the other hand I like the more "stock" cars used i LFS, where in GTR 2 there are only purely racing cars.(not good for drifting either :p ). I might consider buying LFS S2, but I'm not sure how it is online... As mentioned, I'm a huge fan of drifter servers. Are there any of those in the full version?

Plenty mate. Lots of people get together every night trying out new drift layouts.

There are lots of these "Real World" driving servers popping up too. Where you must adhere to speed limits and there are police. A couple are ok but the ones which have RPG mods where by you need to earn cash to buy cars are hellishly boring imo.

Drift is the most fun I had when learning but when you are able to hold decent time round a track I have to say the FOX or BF1 are most fun, as you can race so close to each other

Still you're driving round and round on a track? :D lol, that doesn't sound fun

Nah some of them are on the Autrocross places (Basically wide open car park type tracks)

Or on the city course, which has lanes and highways anyway

Download it and try it online, you get 3 cars and a couple of layouts of one track without paying to unlock it - www.liveforspeed.net

Examples of LFS Drifting (not me btw)

Got to disagree with you there, XFG/XRG and TBO class races make for some of the best racing IMO.

I've been playing countless hours online with the free demo, so I know what it's all about ;) . The thing is I'm getting tired of the standard Turbo car and the same old track... I've played some single player with the full version, but it gets boring rather quickly.

If I want to buy it, how do I go about doing so?

Guess I should have added "imo"

I've not really had any proper races in those so that's probably why. I preferr racing the FXO/BF1 because of how easy it is to get them so precise round a corner and go really really fast :D

Sorry, I thought you meant you were holding off buying it because online play was an unknown quantity.

You'll need to create an account first.

Thanks, I'll look into that later on...

I was wondering, in GTR 2 and LFS S2, I can use the clutch as an own axis and adjust it so that it is 100% manual gearing? Which basically means that I have to clutch while changing gears(obviously :p ). Does Test Drive: Unlimited support that as well?

I think so, still waiting for the bloomin thing to download.

Right, so I just ordered the G25, should have it by the end of the week... But both GTR 2 and LFS S2 will work perfectly with the manual gearbox and clutch while gearing? The reason is I usually don't quite like the auto clutch...
