So the Mrs is trying gaming, I have a ps5 and other consoles but she is getting used to ps5 so any suggestions I’d like would be for ps5

She is loving Hogwarts Legacy partly cause it ties to Harry Potter but even then she’ll likes it as its own story

She wants to try other games now but I’m not sure what to suggest as I don’t like Hogwarts Legacy and unsure what games would be like it anyway

I did think dragon age veilguard purely due to fantasy element

Any help?

My wife loves any story driven game, like Hogwarts. She really enjoyed GTA 4/5, RDR2, The Last of Us etc. Worth checking out Baldur's Gate 3 too maybe?

My wife enjoyed hogwarts legacy, also liked the witcher 3 and we're currently working our way through BG3 together, but the turn based combat may put her off so worth checking before giving it a go, does have the (potential) advantage of being able to play together though.

Veilguard would be perfect if she likes Hogwarts. Both great I think.

If she appreciates quality writing I'd avoid DA:V.

Is it mainly the story aspects that she likes or would she be interested in other genres?

The Witcher 2-3 should tick boxes, I would say 1 but it's a tad janky by modern standards.

Maybe the FF7 Remake and Rebirth titles? They're very "JRPG" however with a fair amount of fanservice.

The Telltale Game of Thrones game perhaps?

BG3 if she doesn't mind turn based, and if that's the case the Persona 3 through 5 and Metaphor: Refantazio games from Atlus might tick some boxes.

Kingdom Come 1 + 2 maybe, a lot find the combat very unforgiving however so hold that in mind.

Open-world wise, I have a good few female friends that really enjoy the Horizon games.

Telltale games are a good shout.

I'm told some of the newer ones are a bit poo, but I've enjoyed those I've played. Very much felt like an evolution of the point and click style games of times gone, with more story/character emphasis.
I have played Wolf Among Us, GOT and the Walking Dead ones, not tried any of the other tbf.
