Although this is probs still going to happen on that exact date, Microsoft have still NOT released anything official on GFWL closing down on that date. They pulled that txt pretty quick, companies would not remove GFWL if they did not know 100% it was closing down, but again m$ have not confirmed anything to the joe public.
 
Dirt 3's GFWL removal isn't exactly true by the looks of it. It just looks like GFWL doesn't work :p

I'm of the opinion, that as long as you can currently log in offline (Not have to put a CD Key in) then come GFWL shut down, there should be no ill effects.
 
You have to make an offline profile afaik to get saves to work in offline mode. Your online game saves will not work in offline mode as they are different profiles.
 
yes i know that but whenever i try to download my profile it tells me there is no response from the server and therefore unable to download the profile. tried this on 3 dif pcs in 2 dif houses which made me think that the gfwl server has been shut down
 
Have you tried to goto the website and download the client fresh? Batman had issues like that on win 8 and you had to download the client from m$'s website to get it to login.
 
When it closes down you won't even be able to get the rest of the achievements. So that will look nice on peoples profiles for xbox if they are linked. All those games you wanted to go back and 100% will be stuck at what they are currently at when it does go down.
