Games for X360 + PS3 Questions

Set up my Xbox360 for first time in a while and only have PGR3 and COD3, so wanting to buy some games to test out the Hi-Def and some good games, obviously. Think mine is one of the older ones, had it for 2+ years now. It's loud and gets hot :p.

What games are worth getting? Been thinking about Fifa09, Gears of War 2.

PS3;

Thinking of getting one of these for BluRay and some gaming, thinking about COD5 as a mate plays it on PS3 so can play with them too. How loud are they when playing BluRay etc?

What games to get on this too?

YOu say you have COD3 and want to get COD5, but have you played COD4? I only ask as it's the best of the series by a long shot and for many was GOTY last year - superb game imo ;)

on the ps3 front,

ive just watched the dark knight and i can say the ps3 was as close to silent as you will find, i cant comment on the 360 as far as noise goes as when mine broke i just bought a ps3 instead of showing brand loyalty like some people on here who are on their 8th 360, i have playTV also which is excellent.

other games on the PS3 i recomend, resistance 2 - this game is sooo good i cant describe, it is very well made e.g. no bugs or glitches (RE; a thread relating to gaming let downs on this front), the weapons are very well balanced, Co-Op is like a game in itself also.

fallout3 has now been patched which has improved graphics, reliabilty and added trophies, little big planet is revoluntionary however could be improved - setting a bench mark is always hard, metal gear solid 4 - i dont know if u played the others but this game is outstanding, graphics and the most compulsive/enthrawling story line i have encountered since half life 1, its worth buying for the video story telling as it ties off loose ends from previous releases.

Finally gran turismo 5 prologue looks amazing and will soon be trohpy patched

it is a wise investment
