Games Headset for Nephew

That headset uses 3.5mm connectors, rather than USB, so will make use of his Omni. Unless he is looking at what appears to be a wireless version of the headset...

While Razer is a fashionable brand for many gamers, they aren't a brand I'd touch when it comes to audio. Great mice and keyboards though..

If I were looking at getting a headset for use with a sound card, I'd prefer to spend similar money on a HyperX Clould Alpha Pro.

Bigger the fashion marketing hype, the worser the trash it sells:

Asus Strix... Razer... Roccat... SteelSeries...
Hands down winners in the worst frequency responses.
Add Corsair, Thermaltake and Turtle Beach next in pile.

Does he need microphone and is environment quiet or noisy?
HyperX Cloud would be one of the rare not bad gaming headsets.
Kingston is one of the rare exceptions of not using cheapest Chinese garbage factories.
Also Creative Aurvana Lives are made by Fostex.
(though still wouldn't pay more than ~£100 good AKG/Beyerdynamic models cost)

In my experience young kids don't care about quality as much as we probably do. Bought my nephew some AKGs once years back and I remember he just ditched them and wore some cheap skullcandy crap everywhere cos they looked cool to a young un.
