Games like NFS underground 2

looking for a game where you can race cars & do them up, classic muscke cars is a bonus

paint/engine the works

looking at buying nfs ug2, thought i would ask you see if there any better first

Need for Speed Carbon was pretty much Underground 3. No idea why it didn't get the praise it deserved as it was a fantastic game. Then there is Juiced and that's all I really know of that are similar.

Might be worth checking out Test Drive Unlimited 2?
Can't remember how in-depth the modding system is though.

Shift 2? Track based, but has modding.
Shame they don't release Forza for PC, I would gladly pay full rrp for that! Hate playing it on xbox now though as I have been spoiled by PC graphics and loading for too long.

Can't beat the original Need for Speeds, such as Underground. Feels like they get worse every year, lost its best features.

Forza and Project Gotham were good for console, good realism and customisation levels
