games minimize at random points....

so fresh install of win 7, install all my drivers and restart. boot up wow and every few min it will minimize to desktop.

thought about trying another game so onto BF3 i went. same problem! SWTOR... same again! i have no idea what is causing this!

This behavior can be observed by other programs stealing focus.

Off the top of my head, check your AV, firewall, Windows Update plus any other updater crap you may have installed such as Adobe, Java, Google, Printer, Graphics drivers etc etc.

I had this exact same problem with AVG on windows 7 and it was the main reason for me swapping to Avast. Something was polling at random intervals, stealing focus and thus minimizing whatever fullscreen app I was running.

BF3 used to do this whenever a program had an update (was mainly aurora as it was updating every few minutes ).

What other programs you have running in the background?

Apple software has a nasty habbit of doing this.
