Games minimizing when internet drops

Can anyone help me with this? Basically every time my internet drops out, games minimize to the desktop. When it comes back online, same thing. It's really getting on my nerves now. Any way to stop this happening?

Get better internet or router
Try turning off all the window notifications
Could also be caused by driver issues
