Hi all,

Basically I'm interested in building a PC specifically for games. I have totalled up different amounts based on buying all the components from this site and have some pretty heavy pricetags.

I've never built a PC before so I'm not sure exactly what I'm letting myself in for here. Although recently I have seen the "Ultima" AMD Athlon 64 3700 Dual DDR System (FS-004-OC). Click Here For Link Priced at only 780. My question is pretty simple, would this cope with Counter Strike, BF2, WoW and the like.

Also, what are the disadvantages of this system? And can those be overcome with any reasonably prices upgrades?
I prefer this system as it means I can be lazy and just buy the unit instead of building it myself and probably doing a hell of a lot of damage :)

Any advice for me is appriciated :D

Should handle those games easy but, you'll miss out on the joy of building it yourself :p

Looks good but I would spend a bit more and get a Conroe system like this. If you want it a bit cheaper you could remove the scythe ninja and use the stock hsf.
I would really recommend building your own pc as it will be more future proof and be a lot faster. It's very easy to build a pc, just read the instructions and you can't really go wrong.

The conroe build would be best for games. If you could spend an extra £70 (i think) and get the 6600 that would be quite a bit better since it has 4mb of cache like the top of the range conroe chips

Yup, I agree. Spend more, be happier! And then overclock the E6600 like a beast. *drools*
