Games Only Running Off Installed Folder

Hi - I've reinstalled windows Vista on a new small ssd.

I have my installed games on the other hdd which was the original os installation .

Now..if I run those games off the old os which were previously installed there I can only run them if I go into the folder they were installed on..I can't run it with shortcuts etc.

Is there a way around this?

I hope I've made sense.

I actually got it working yesterday.I found a shortcut already made in the folder which worked .
