Thinking of ordering a Mac Mini with the following spec:

2.7GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7
4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM
AMD Radeon HD 6630M graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR5 memory
500GB 5400RPM Serial ATA Drive (would be replaced with a SSD)

This system would be driving a 1600x900 resolution monitor via a thunderbolt-VGA adapter.

What I want to know is does anyone have a similar/same system and if so what's it like for older games? I'm mainly interested in playing WoW but also play games like Supreme Commander 2, UT3, Bioshock and Plants vs Zombies. Obviously WoW is the most demanding of those and as its the one I play most I want it to be good, obviously I would have to tone down some settings but I wouldn't mind losing shadows and maybe dropping an AA level or two.

Also I heard you can install Windows 7 on it too, is that like VM ware type emulation or duel booting as its an intel system?

Thanks.

Hmm, 1280x1024 is 91% of the pixels my screen is (1600x900) so using some very flawed logic the Mac should pull about 40fps, maybe more as that test was done with a 2.3gig i5 duel core and the mac would have a 2.7gig quad core (but WoW only uses up to three cores), however the test doesn't show the testing conditions, 44fps out in nowhere can be 4fps in a raid..

Screw it im sold on it from the games pov, anybody know about that duel booting windows 7 thing? :)

Not tried w7 on my mac mini running win xp pro have 2 gig of ram installed play my older xp games on the mac mini no problem at low res of course depends on the game.
My mac mini is over 2 yrs old now spec has shot up wish had that in mine.
Duel boot mine through boot camp.
