games playing with big borders?

i switched to HDMI today and suddenly all my games are playing in tiny screens. they arent windowsed as they have a black border but they take up maybe a 1/4 of the screen. i fixed crysis by changing the resolution but other games wont change back. also the mobo loading scren (first think you see is a green asus screen) has gotten realy small. but windows still works fine and everythig else is the right size help

It's displaying everything at its actual resolution, you need to use the monitors OSD to change this mode (usually called 1:1). Set your games to your monitors native resolution though as it'll look a lot nicer.

edit: think everything is working now. had to put one verry old game to 800X600 pixles but everything else seems to be ok and the start scren is back to normal. thanks
