Games run better in Windows than Mac OS X

So I have a Macbook Pro 13 (2015) edition and I installed Windows 10 via BootCamp. I later installed Steam on OS X El Capitan and Windows 10 and played games like the Walking Dead Season 1 & 2, Bioshock 2, Alan Wake, and I realised that the games run much better on BootCamp Windows 10. Why is that? Is OS X really that bad for gaming?

Direct x will run them better in Windows then open GL in osx
