Games running slow

I have installed Windows 8.1 Pro and everything seems ok after a bit of getting used to but games seem a bit slow and jerky anyone else had any issues?

I have the latest NVidia drivers installed

Checked to see if anything is overheating and throttling to compensate? The FX 9-Series CPUs run rather hot so I'd look there first. Also is your motherboard strong enough to run that CPU, I know some lower end boards have trouble with the higher clocked FX series too. (unable to check atm)

This system has been working fine I have just ungraded it to Windows 8 all the hardware is good and capable of running everything.

Any issues in Event viewer or Reliability History?..Double check all drivers as well.

Try the spanking brand new nvidia drivers

Nothing in the event viewer and I am already using the new drivers version 340.52?
