Games Running Too Quick.

I've just reinstalled my brothers pc, and when he tries to play some Games (Halo and BF2142) they run really quickly, It's not a graphics problem as I've tried several different versions. I've updates CPU driver and Motherboard BIOS. The Spec of his system is

Abit NF-M2S
AMD 3400 X2 AM2
And Nvidia 7600gt

I'm really not sure whats happening, tried the dual core optimizer and all the hotfixes and nothing seems to fix it.

tried that doesn't work either
loaded halo went to the halo process, set it to core0 went back in, still the same, set it as core 1 and still the same...

It's starting to annoy me now

Yeah it's got that that in the command line, I don't know whats going wrong, maybe some fault in the system

When I say run to quick I mean 3 - 4 times faster than the game should run. Dialogue and sounds overlap and even cut out before finishing.
